This is not an original thought, rather I want to expand upon the the idea. 

The government has been working on saving banks and stimulation of the economy for a spell now.  We hear every day how all these billions of dollars are going into the banks, they are going to build roads and bridges, they are going to do this or that….. It has been less than effective thus far and likely will fail (doing the same thing over and over again).

I heard a suggestion a bit back that will work for sure:  Send every legal adult American a tax free check for one million dollars.  We will stimulate the economy! 

My spouse and I were sitting chatting about the issue, first we would pay off our current debt and that includes our mortgage-bank gets paid stabilized and can re-loan those funds if needed.  Then we would stimulate the economy-I really want a real house so the next call is to the builder who will employ a crew of American workers to build a real house, we need to refurnish this house and that should stimulate the economy further.  Being wise we will both finally get into see the doctor for medical check ups (we have been without medical insurance so minimal medical since 1989), this will surely stimulate the medical profession, I might even be able to buy some health insurance for future medical care.  Having been raised by post depression parents I know the value of savings (just have not had much to save raising children and staying alive) so a big chunk of the “true economic fix” would have to go into savings-stimulation again of the banks as they will once again have funds to loan to the kids coming up getting started.  Rocket science-no, will it happen-I doubt it, instead the government will dole out trillions to unknown entities with no oversight or accountability and when they all fail one more time we in middle America will have the glorious obligation to pay the bill.

Cut me a check Mr. Obama, I can stimulate the economy much better than you all in DC!
